15th Annual World Hip Hop DANCE Championship to hit Las Vegas

2016 World Hip Hop DANCE Championship and World BattlesAt the same time the world’s highest ranked athletes will be in Rio for the 2016 Olympic Games, the world’s top hip hop and street dancers will be competing in Las Vegas at the 2016 World Hip Hop DANCE Championship and World Battles – “the Olympics of hip hop dance.” A record 3,500 dancers representing 50 countries will compete in Las Vegas on August 6-13 for the coveted gold medals and the world title. The ultimate question is what countries will impress the international panel of judges enough to score a possible 10?

 

Championship week begins August 6-7 with the USA Hip Hop DANCE Championship to determine who will represent America at the Worlds. Over 100 Crews (with 5-8 dancers each) and MegaCrews (15-40 dancers each) from throughout the nation will travel to Las Vegas to compete for the coveted top three U.S. spots advancing to the World Championship.

 

Worldwide Hip Hop DANCE CompetitionChampionship week continues with the World Hip Hop DANCE Championship on August 9, 10, 11 and 13. Over 250 dance Crews and MegaCrews from 50 nations will compete for the gold in qualifying rounds at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort on August 9-11 leading up to the World Finals on August 13 at Thomas & Mack Center.

 

At the World Battles on August 12, the world’s best street dancers will go one-on-one for world titles for B-boys, Poppers, Lockers and All-Stylers.
