Rockettes plan Christmas Spectacular Tryouts

The Radio City Rockettes will soon be holding Spring Auditions for the 2018 Christmas Spectacular production. The auditions will run from Monday, April 16 to Wednesday, April 25 at Radio City Music Hall, NYC.

Advanced male and female dancers who will be at least 18 years of age by September 15 are welcome to audition. Other roles being cast are male and female vocalists, “little people performers”, and girls who can play Clara en pointe (must be 4’10” or under, and appear to be 14 years old or younger).

To be a Rockette, dancers must be between 5’6” and 5’10 ½” tall without shoes. Candidates must be proficient in ballet, tap and jazz.

If cast in the show, performers will be offered an American Guild of Variety Artists (AGVA) contract with competitive salary and benefits including 401(k) plan and year-round health insurance. Contract dates range from late September/early October to early January, depending on which role you are cast in. No travel or housing is provided for the performers of the show in New York.
