The second exciting opportunity is a two-week Jack Cole Technique and Rep Workshop with Chet Walker, who is creating a musical about Cole’s life. Workshop participants will train in Cole technique and be part of the creative process for Walker’s upcoming stage musical. Intermediate and advanced dancers are welcome to attend the eight sessions, set for May 15-25 on Mondays from 2:30-4 pm and Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays from 2-4 pm.

Third, the Verdon Fosse Legacy Project is back again with Dana Moore, Mimi Quillin and Lloyd Culbreath. These three instructors will lead multi-day master classes in the classic Bob Fosse style. They’ll reconstruct Fosse repertory from works like Dancin’, All that Jazz and Sweet Charity.

Steps Co-Artistic Managing Director Diane Grumet said, “Steps on Broadway thrives on training dancers and cultivating the art form by sharing legacy, artistry and creativity. Our partnerships with the Verdon Fosse Legacy Foundation, American Dance Machine for the 21st Century and The Jack Cole Tech and Rep Workshops lead by Chet Walker offer dancers the opportunity to learn authentic choreography of great choreographers from stage, film and television, coupled with the expert direction and coaching of elite performers and directors…a challenge rich in styles, vocabulary and history.”
